Privacy Policy

At Underwaterlabs, your right to privacy is one of our primary concerns. This Privacy Policy describes the guidelines Underwaterlabs uses to protect the information we collect about you during your visit to our Web site.

At various times, Underwaterlabs requests personal information. This can be done while you are visiting the site, or during a purchase via our Web site, phone, or fax. Information we collect may include your name, address, telephone number, email address, credit card information, and personal interests.

The requests for information allow Underwaterlabs to provide services you have requested or to enhance your experience while visiting us. The information that we collect during a purchase is necessary for us to fulfill your order, track the status of your order, and provide the best customer service possible.

Underwaterlabs will not sell your private information to any outside company for its use in marketing or solicitation. However, many downloadable software applications that we sell require the us to provide the customer with a registration code to convert trial versions into full versions. In these cases, Underwaterlabs needs relevant customer information in order to generate a registration code and email it to the customer. Although we strongly encourage partner sites to follow strict privacy policies, Underwaterlabs cannot be responsible for the privacy practices that each of the partner sites follow. If you are concerned about the privacy policy of a certain site, you may contact them directly or visit their individual Web sites. Underwaterlabs may also disclose your information in certain cases where we have your permission or under special circumstances, such as when we believe it is required by law.

Underwaterlabs may also use customer information on an aggregate basis to better understand our users and to improve our services. Aggregate statistics may also be disclosed to potential advertisers and/or business partners. (For example, we might use the aggregate statistic "15% of Underwaterlabs' users are from Ontario", but we would not give away that "Mr. John Doe, age 35, is from Toronto, Canada", unless we had prior permission.)

By visiting and purchasing products through Underwaterlabs' Web site, you consent to the collection and use of the information described above by Underwaterlabs. Map Terms

Any provided maps are not a complete or accurate map of the world and should not be used in such a manner that deficiencies, omissions, inaccuracies or errors could result in death, loss or injury.

These maps are provided "as is" and without any warranty of any kind, either express, implied, or arising by statute, custom, course of dealing, or trade usage. The provider specifically disclaims any and all implied warranties or conditions of title, non-infringement, accuracy or completeness, the presence or absence of errors, fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, or otherwise. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties, so this exclusion may not apply to You.

Subject to any liability that may not be excluded or limited by law, the provider is not liable for, and expressly excludes, all liability for loss or damage however and whenever caused to anyone by any use, whether by You or by anyone else, and whether caused by any fault on the part of the provider or not. It is particularly important to realize that the maps might not be reliable. The maps are an iterative ongoing work-in-progress. We are aiming to produce maps which can be relied upon, equally well, or better than other maps. The openly-editable wiki nature of this mapping system may help us towards this goal, however it may also mean that there will always be some inaccuracies. You should make your own judgement about the accuracy of our maps. Always use our maps in conjunction with your senses, official sources and your common sense.

The maps may include information relating to flying, inland navigation, marine navigation, military, whitewater sports, flood prone objects and winter sports which are dangerous at the best of times. You are strongly advised not to use provided maps as your primary or sole information source for these activities. Get a second map or guide if you are unsure about the presence of hazards, or other navigational aspects of these sports.

You should not use a GPS unit or carry out other distracting mapping activities if you are not sufficiently confident, or require full concentration while doing a sport or outdoor activity. As always, make sure you have all the necessary equipment and training, take all sensible precautions, and be aware of the risks. As stated above, we will not be held responsible.
